By purchasing the Flex-Shape wobble chairs and balance discs, I can provide my children with more choices and less traditional seating arrangements. My kindergarten children are a bouncy and busy group of boys and girls. They are most happy when they are provided with a variety of choices to do work on learning activities. Traditional desks and chairs are fine for some but others do much better when they can sit on the floor, lay down, or stand up to complete their work. My classroom is full of energetic kindergartners! They like to move and are definitely hands-on learners. Each year I have more at-risk students who are not successful in a traditional kindergarten classroom environment. It is my goal to provide flexible seating in my classroom where the need for movement and sensory-motor stimulation for these children will be satisfied.
