They couldn't wait for me to unbox each item! I am saving the outer space items for when we start our space unit, but they will be excited to rotate those items in as well. My students love learning how to regulate their bodies through the use of our calming corner. There is soft lighting, many different kinds of fidgets and sensory items to help calm everyone's mind and body. It was a heartwarming moment to see new students immediately put on their shirts, smiling and feeling like part of our school family. This project was about more than just making T-shirts—it was about fostering a sense of belonging and community.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, I plan to build on this project by creating more spirit wear for school events. I also plan to ask our student body to design and create the gear.
