My students enjoyed seeing the life cycle of a chicken and will remember this activity for years to come! My students learned how to candle eggs and what to look for, how a chick hatches and emerges from the egg, and how they dry their feathers in the incubator before being transferred to the brooder box. In the brooder box, my students have been able to observe the interactions and growth of the chicks over the past 2 weeks.
