The floor pillows and soft lighting provide a grounding effect. Additionally, the jellyfish lamp gives the students something to focus on rather than the triggering event. The students have even named the jellyfish! They are \"Tina\" and \"Flapjack\". \r\n\r\nWhen we first set up the corner, the students we hesitant to use it, but it quickly has become a preferred space within the classroom. In the future, I hope to create additional alternative seating options within the room.
