One of our favorite moments has been using the dry erase markers, dry erase dots, mini whiteboard erasers, and craft sticks during our math and literacy lessons. Students can quickly show their answers, practice skills, and make changes without the fear of making a mistake. We are also using our new decodable readers and books during reading time, giving students more opportunities to practice their skills and enjoy reading independently.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw all of the new materials, they were so excited! They wanted to explore everything and immediately started asking when they could use the new books, colored pencils, craft supplies, and other classroom tools. Even the smaller items, such as the chair bands and stress toys, created excitement because students could see that these resources were specifically chosen to help make our classroom a place where everyone can learn comfortably.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building our reading and math skills while incorporating these resources into centers, small-group instruction, independent practice, and creative projects. Students will continue practicing with decodable readers, using whiteboards to demonstrate their thinking, and using craft supplies to create projects that connect learning to the real world.
