Having safe and organized storage for our pool noodles has given us more time for active learning and less time managing equipment. Students now walk into class excited and ready to grab what they need without the clutter and chaos that we had before.\r\n\r\nOne special moment came during a cooperative games lesson where each group used noodles to build \"bridges\" across the gym. Instead of spending time untangling or searching for equipment, students were able to jump right into problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity. Their faces lit up when they saw the neat, colorful storage system—several even commented, \"It looks like a PE store!\"\r\n\r\nThe noodles continue to be a favorite tool for balance, movement challenges, and fitness games. Next, we'll be using them in stations where students will practice striking, agility, and coordination skills. With the Noodle Nest keeping everything in order, students can rotate quickly and focus on learning.\r\n\r\nYour gift didn't just provide storage—it created smoother lessons, more joyful movement, and a classroom that feels cared for and ready for kids. It has improved recess and promoted exercise. There has been healthy competition with the stacking cups and I even incorporate this into learning games. The 3D filament has promoted creativity. The excitement in my classroom when the students first saw the new equipment was unforgettable—smiles, cheers, and an immediate eagerness to start moving. Many students couldn't wait to try balancing, stepping from stone to stone, and encouraging one another to make it across.\r\n\r\nWe are now using the stepping stones during our balance and coordination lessons. They have quickly become a favorite station, allowing students to challenge themselves in fun and creative ways while practicing important motor skills. One special moment came when a student who often hesitates with new activities confidently crossed the stones, and the entire class erupted in applause. These small victories are what make your generosity so impactful.\r\n\r\nNext, we will be building on this resource by creating obstacle courses where the stepping stones are combined with other equipment. This will encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and persistence while helping students grow stronger and more confident in their movement skills.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our students. These resources have transformed the way my students learn about money and financial literacy. One of the most exciting classroom projects we've done is creating a mini-economy. Using the plastic coins and paper money, my students simulated buying and selling goods, managing budgets, and even setting up their own \"stores.\" This project helped students practice math skills like addition and subtraction, all while learning valuable lessons about money. Watching them negotiate prices, calculate costs, and work as a team was incredibly rewarding. The excitement and engagement were palpable, and the project sparked real-world connections for them.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their reactions were priceless. Many were thrilled to have realistic resources to handle, and they immediately began exploring the various coins and bills. For some, it was their first time physically using money in this way, and it made the learning experience feel more tangible. The students eagerly counted out coins and bills, practiced making change, and engaged in discussions about the value of different denominations. It was amazing to see them so excited about a subject like money, and it gave them a sense of ownership over their learning.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to expand on these activities by introducing more complex lessons where students will manage a budget for a classroom business. They'll apply their knowledge of money to practice saving, spending, and tracking expenses over time. We will also dive deeper into making change, handling digital transactions, and understanding both cash and electronic payment methods. These lessons will build upon their math and financial literacy skills, preparing them for real-world situations. Your donation has made it possible for us to provide these meaningful learning experiences, and I'm excited to see how the students continue to grow.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity. Your contribution is truly making a difference in the lives of my students, and we are so grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1728321602933,"projectUrl":"project/money-money-money/8837560/","projectTitle":"Money, Money, Money!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Crawford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2756121_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1450283848028","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/fun2beinpe"},{"teacherId":4671582,"projectId":8922868,"letterContent":"Who doesn't love new books? Or a way to organize them? When I brought the boxes to our classroom for us to open, my students were thrilled. I may have to come up with a check in/check out system, especially for the Diary of a Wimpy Kid box set. because these books are so popular!\r\n\r\nStudents who normally don't gravitate towards my reading shelf, are now exploring our books to see what adventures await them. Each day, I give my students opportunities to read independently and immerse themselves in their stories. We also read novels as a class and students respond thoughtfully to questions throughout the novel. \r\n\r\nWhen students in my class read, they know that it is for enjoyment and broadening their understanding of the world around them.
