These curriculum materials--incorporated into our unit on \"The American Dream\"--include vocabulary activities, character analysis, journaling prompts, reading strategies to apply to the novel, and a final reflection on the novel's key themes.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is interactive and often done as a whole-class activity. With graphic novels, students will often choose to read as reader's theater (reading aloud as a particular character, using the visual cues to see when to speak).
