Each graduating student received a special keepsake—whether a medallion, a lapel pin featuring their instrument, or a stylus/ink pen with a musical design—that honored their accomplishments and gave them something tangible to remember their time in orchestra or guitar. These gifts gave us a heartfelt way to close their chapter in Rapids music program.\r\n\r\nYour support also allowed us to frame our Virginia Guitar Directors Association (VGDA) Superior Ratings certificates in a beautiful double frame, which now hangs proudly in our classroom. It serves as a daily reminder to students of what can be achieved through teamwork, discipline, and passion for music. Already, our newest students are inspired by seeing these awards on display.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the incentive stickers you provided are already making a difference in this new school year. I was able to give them to new students to encourage positive classroom procedures right from the start—helping us build a culture of excellence and pride from day one.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, we were able to honor our seniors, motivate our new ensemble members, and preserve a tradition of senior gifts that strengthens our program's sense of community. Thank you for investing in our musicians and ensuring that their hard work and achievements are celebrated in meaningful ways.","fullyFundedDate":1746697850403,"projectUrl":"project/honoring-our-musicians-awards-senior/9223155/","projectTitle":"Honoring Our Musicians: Awards & Senior Recognition","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Austin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4529693_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1499455360288","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jodi-austin"},{"teacherId":4529693,"projectId":9137996,"letterContent":"On behalf of our Asian Culture Club, I want thank you for your generous donation. Because of you, we received our items in time for our annual Asian Heritage Night event. We used the steamer to prepare edamame and ashauk (Afghan dumplings), the rice cooker to prepare Lebanese pilaf, and the skillet to warm prepared vegetarian lentils. The warming mats kept food donated by local restaurants warm throughout the event. The chopsticks, plates, utensils, and cups were used to serve our students and school community guests.\r\n\r\nOur students were glad to receive so many decorations for the event. We transformed our open commons into a vibrant celebration of history and culture. The backdrops and many other decorations will used again and again for future cultural events in our school community.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your support.
