From the first day it arrived, my students were so appreciative and excited. They immediately noticed how thoughtful the items were—from the snacks to the Tide pens to the band-aids—and several commented on how nice it felt to have what they needed available right in the classroom.\r\n\r\nWe've already seen how these simple resources make a big difference. A few students with diabetes have been able to grab a quick snack to stabilize their blood sugar without needing to miss class time, which helps them stay focused and comfortable. Others have used the Tide pens before presentations or the band-aids for small cuts so they could get right back to learning without distraction. These small moments of care have created a classroom culture built on trust, support, and readiness to learn.\r\n\r\nWith their basic needs met, students are more focused and confident during lessons. The Care Cart has helped reinforce that our classroom is a safe and welcoming space for everyone—one where every student can show up as their best self and fully engage in learning.","fullyFundedDate":1757551788404,"projectUrl":"project/growing-scientists-hands-on-biology-lab/9663972/","projectTitle":"Growing Scientists: Hands-On Biology Labs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Butler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10110519"},{"teacherId":10110519,"projectId":9531436,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my students now have digital writing tablets and yes/no paddles that have completely changed the way we review and practice in class. These tools make learning more interactive and give every student the chance to show what they know in real time. Instead of waiting to be called on or worrying about getting an answer wrong out loud, students can quickly share their thinking with confidence. The tablets allow them to practice, erase, and try again as much as they need without the pressure of paper or limited supplies. The yes/no paddles make whole-class checks for understanding fast and fun, helping me know exactly who is ready to move forward and who needs a little more support.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students has been that everyone gets to participate at once. They love holding up their paddles or showing their answers on the tablets and seeing how their classmates responded, too. This has transformed small group review from a handful of voices into an activity where every voice is included. I've noticed that even my quieter students, who often hesitate to raise their hands, are now eager to join in since they can respond without the spotlight being on them.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular, who usually avoids speaking in front of others, has completely warmed up to using the paddles. She now holds hers up proudly every time, and it's been amazing to see her confidence grow. Another student who struggles with organization told me he loves using the digital tablet because it's \"less stressful\" than juggling paper and pencil. These resources have not only improved participation, but they've also boosted self-esteem and made learning feel like a team effort. Because of your support, my students are more engaged, confident, and excited to learn each day.","fullyFundedDate":1755712380008,"projectUrl":"project/every-student-every-voice-tools-for-en/9531436/","projectTitle":"Every Student, Every Voice: Tools for Engaged Participation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Butler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10110519"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_33604","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1017,"numTeachers":61,"percentFrplEligible":79,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":67,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":65.8,"schoolId":33604,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Brookville High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Brookville High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/virginia/campbell-county-school-district/brookville-high-school/33604"}
