The beakers have become a favorite during our science projects: students love measuring, mixing, and observing like real scientists. The drying rack has been a lifesaver for drying our beakers and paint cups between activities. We use the colored pencils every day for both science and art projects, and the floor cushions have made quiet reading time into something students actually look forward to, especially when they're curled up with a good science book. When the materials first arrived, the students were so excited. Many of the students couldn't wait to claim their floor cushion. It has made the students excited to read! A few students have even started using the weighted hug balls to cuddle with during reading, which has been a wonderful comfort. The older students could not wait to use the beakers for science projects this year. Seeing how much these simple tools have changed our daily routines has been incredible.\r\n\r\nWe're building on this momentum with exciting new topics across grade levels. Our 5th graders are diving into a discussion about the difference between salt water and fresh water on Earth, and they'll use the beakers to measure how little drinking water is actually available on our planet: a powerful, hands-on way to understand water distribution. The pipettes will be essential, letting students carefully measure and transfer small amounts of water as they visualize these big concepts. Meanwhile, our 4th graders have been putting the colored pencils to great use, creating detailed scientific illustrations of internal and external structures of animals and explaining how those structures help them survive in their environments. Your donation didn't just provide supplies; it gave my students tools that make science feel real and accessible every day. Thank you for being part of their learning journey.","fullyFundedDate":1774382163351,"projectUrl":"project/creative-thinking-through-science-and-ar/10161424/","projectTitle":"Creative Thinking Through Science and Art","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gabbie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10466284"},{"teacherId":10060664,"projectId":10173551,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting our classroom with vocabulary and multiplication supplies! My students have loved playing hot potato with our multiplication facts. Every time I bring out the potato, they get so excited. One of their favorite vocabulary activities has been the headbands game. They put a vocab word on their headband and have to ask each others for clues to figure out which word they have.
