I thought it appropriate to reach out to you now and thank you for your donation to our classroom. We received an array of items from pencils to tissues, and play dough to snacks. \r\n\r\nI've always been the type of teacher that has had. at the ready, a pencil for those who need one. I've always used my own money and would buy misprinted or mislabeled pencils at the cheapest bulk rate possible. Usually the shipping for the pencils cost as much as the product. So thank you for donating pencils. \r\n\r\nWe are almost out of the tissues. It's the beginning of cold and flu season, but they've been so helpful so far. \r\n\r\nThe play going was used for the 7th graders to do a couple hands on activities about the geography of Utah. I'll attach pictures of their renditions of Utah geological sites. \r\n\r\nAnd the snacks were used as a reward for students who were on task, being contributors to the community, and being quality workers and producers. \r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity!","fullyFundedDate":1756388677616,"projectUrl":"project/feed-me/9586414/","projectTitle":"Feed Me!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Harris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10174513"},{"teacherId":10189607,"projectId":9624346,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom project. My students have already begun using the new resources in meaningful and exciting ways. Our new glass bowls made it possible for us to prepare apple crisp together. Instead of spending money on cleaning supplies we were able to buy ingredients to make pan de muerto for Día de los Muertos. My advanced students even created intricate cream designs on top of their dessert soups—something they were incredibly proud to show off. The new broom and dustpans were met with unexpected enthusiasm; our old sets were cracked and falling apart, so students were genuinely thrilled to have sturdy tools they could rely on to keep our space clean and safe.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped us move forward with a larger cultural project as well. Students are currently creating posters that highlight the countries they come from or have ancestral ties to, and these will be displayed during our Cultural Celebration Night on December 18th at 6:30 p.m. at our school. The students will be making refreshments inspired by the countries they are studying. We would be honored to invite you to this event so you can see the beautiful posters, enjoy the dishes the students will prepare, and witness the impact your contribution has made in our classroom community.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our students and the rich learning experiences you've helped make possible. Then we do a choral read. This takes the pressure off all the readers. If they do not know a word by the third time they can still hear the teacher and their peers say it.\r\nReading turns into writing. The new novels, ranging from Threads That Bind and The Bletchley Riddle to I Must Betray You, have given students access to powerful stories that connect literature with history, identity, and perseverance. These high-interest titles have helped students build comprehension, analyze themes, and practice empathy through diverse perspectives and time periods.\r\n\r\nThe classroom laminator has been a game-changer for organizing and preserving instructional materials. It's used to protect reading guides, vocabulary cards, and historical context sheets so they can be reused throughout multiple class periods and school years. Laminated materials not only save time and resources but also help make the classroom more engaging and durable. Students can handle resources confidently without worrying about damage.\r\n\r\nThis project has elevated both literacy and classroom sustainability. The books have sparked a renewed excitement for reading, while the laminator ensures that instructional materials stay vibrant and accessible for years to come.
