These books have already made a big difference for our students. Many of our learners are working on important reading skills such as recognizing sight words, improving comprehension, building vocabulary, and practicing fluency. Having a variety of engaging and accessible books allows us to teach these skills in ways that are meaningful and motivating for our students.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom often happens in small groups, one-on-one instruction, and during quiet independent reading time. We spend time looking at pictures for context clues, practicing reading aloud, and discussing what is happening in the story. These moments help students build confidence and begin to see themselves as readers.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who previously struggled to stay engaged with books are now excited to choose a story and share it with others. One student in particular loves picking out books with bright illustrations and enjoys retelling the story in his own words after we read together. Seeing students feel proud of their reading progress has been one of the best parts of this project.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a space where our students can explore books, build essential literacy skills, and develop a love of reading.
