As part of Our Entrepreneurial Artisan Program students are learning to manage money, use arithmetic in real life situations, and use their literacy skills to advertise their projects. Beyond that students are learning to be creative finding and creating art that speaks to them. In addition building confidence and becoming assertive as they sell their art at a real art festival. With access to educational apps and digital assessment tools, I am now able to quickly and efficiently track student growth in key areas such as reading fluency, phonics, and math skills. The iPad allows me to collect real-time data during small groups or independent practice, which gives me a clearer picture of each student's strengths and areas of need without interrupting instruction.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the iPad has made progress monitoring more engaging and accessible for students. Many learners are more motivated to demonstrate their understanding through interactive assessments and games, resulting in more accurate data. Features such as audio support and visual cues also help my diverse learners, including students who need additional scaffolding, to show what they know. This has led to more consistent monitoring and fewer gaps in assessment data.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, the immediate feedback and data provided by the iPad allow me to adjust instruction more effectively. I can identify students who need intervention sooner, regroup students based on current performance, and communicate progress more clearly with families and support staff. Overall, the iPad donation has strengthened my ability to monitor progress consistently and make informed instructional decisions that better support student growth.","fullyFundedDate":1758806536371,"projectUrl":"project/power-up-our-progress/9461563/","projectTitle":"Power Up Our Progress!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. John","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9376389_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755816731888","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9376389"},{"teacherId":10046224,"projectId":9385778,"letterContent":"My students are incredible learners who work hard every day, even when sitting still or focusing feels like a big challenge. It was a beautiful moment of discovery, and it wouldn't have been possible without your generosity.\r\n\r\nDiversity in literature is more than just representation—it is empowerment. We sat down together as a class and opened everything up, going through each item piece by piece. It felt like unwrapping a treasure chest filled with tools made just for them. Their smiles and laughter filled the room as they realized these supplies were not just \"things,\" but opportunities to learn, create, and feel supported in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nThe play dough was an instant favorite. We began by using it for sensory play, giving students the chance to squeeze, roll, and stretch it. This provided a calming outlet for some and a stimulating challenge for others. Beyond the sensory experience, the play dough quickly became a tool for practicing letters and words. Students shaped letters with their hands, spelling out their names and sight words. It turned what might feel like a difficult task into something fun, engaging, and memorable. The tactile experience helped many of them connect letters to sounds in a deeper way, reinforcing literacy skills while keeping their hands and minds busy.\r\n\r\nThe art supplies have been equally impactful. We've used them for crafts that tie into our lessons, from seasonal projects to creative illustrations of the stories we've read. These opportunities give students a chance to express themselves beyond words, showing what they know and how they feel through color, texture, and design. For many of my students, art is more than just a fun activity—it's an outlet for emotions, a way to build confidence, and a chance to shine in an area where they feel successful. Having a variety of supplies means that every student, regardless of skill level, has access to the materials they need to make their vision come to life. Another important part of our classroom has been our emotional learning activities. The materials that help us practice naming and understanding emotions have sparked meaningful conversations. We've been able to discuss how feelings look, sound, and feel, and the students are feeling.","fullyFundedDate":1749004595918,"projectUrl":"project/first-year-sped-teacher/9390322/","projectTitle":"First Year SpEd Teacher","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rebecca","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10046224_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762573201490","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10046224"},{"teacherId":9923302,"projectId":9113153,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating the flexible seating. Whether through tablets, headphones, or educational software, the tech resources made it easier to reach all learners, including those who need extra support or different modes of instruction.\r\n\r\nThe addition of art supplies and mailboxes added both creativity and structure to our daily routine. With new art materials, students could express themselves more freely and participate in hands-on projects that deepened their understanding across subjects.
