In this assignment, students are asked to read a section of a nonfiction book and tell me what they read, place it in a historical context, and explain how this topic effected all other moments afterward. Most importantly, this closet has helped the jr high boys reduce their stink levels, which doesn't just help me but everyone in the room. \r\n\r\nI have received a lot of positive feedback from students about the closet and the materials within it. Mostly students have told me that they feel comfortable in my room knowing that if they have an emergency, I have the materials that can help them deal with it. The headphones are extremely helpful to students who are learning English as a second language and can understand through listening better than reading. Due to my extremely large classes, headphones allow students to receive the help they need even when I cannot reach them. \r\n\r\nStudents have been really excited about these headphones specifically because they fit the students' heads. My students are the oldest in the school, so school issued headphones usually give them headaches due to being too small. When we do the raffle students cross their fingers in hopes they get picked, and cheer for each other when they do not. This has made my life as a teacher a lot easier and my classroom environment amazing.
