In the instrumental and choral classrooms, students use air to make music. Many students dropped out of music classes last year in an abundance of caution and fear of aerosols that can spread disease. Having air purifiers will help keep students healthy by keeping them from breathing in infected air and will put them at less of a risk of getting sick from their neighbor or accidentally spreading disease to their neighbors. Though slowing the spread of disease is my main goal with this project, it will also be better for everyone's lung health, in general, to have purified air since my classroom has little access to fresh or outside air.
