These new books have brought such excitement into our classroom. The moment the books arrived, students couldn't wait to explore them—there's been a real buzz of curiosity and joy around book box reading time.\r\n\r\nThese new texts are helping us grow in so many important ways. We're practicing key reading skills such as making predictions, identifying the main idea, and using context clues to understand new vocabulary. The variety of books has also allowed us to explore different genres—fiction, nonfiction, poetry—and talk about story structure, characters, and themes in a way that connects to students' everyday lives. We're learning not just to read, but to think and talk like readers.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is not only essential, but it is a fun time too. You might find students sitting next to a partner, laughing at a funny story, or discussing what a character should do next. During independent reading time, everyone finds a \"just right\" book and settles into their own quiet reading spot. Our new books have made this time feel fresh and full of choice—every child can find something that sparks their interest.\r\n\r\nA few students have especially connected with the new books. One student who was hesitant to read, discovered that he can read Dog Man books. He now sees himself as a reader, and he doesn't give up. Another student who loves to read non-fiction has been reading our \"All About\" books, and has been sharing what they learn with the class. It's been wonderful to watch these moments of confidence and excitement bloom.\r\n\r\nYour donation has truly made a difference in our classroom. You've helped turn reading into something that feels joyful, meaningful, and personal for each child. Thank you for investing in our students and helping them see themselves as readers.","fullyFundedDate":1755701270779,"projectUrl":"project/books-books-and-more-2nd-grade-books/9413510/","projectTitle":"Books, Books, and More 2nd Grade Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pirouznia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3132091_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1478225240099","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3132091"},{"teacherId":8545014,"projectId":9574629,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation. These tools provide every student with a hands-on way to participate in lessons, allowing for active practice and instant feedback. Students are more willing to participate in activities when they get to use these surfaces because it's different than just everyday papers and pencils.\r\n\r\nIncorporating white boards and boogie boards into daily instruction has also strengthened differentiation and small-group work. Students can use them to show their understanding in real time, which allows any adult to quickly assess comprehension and adjust instruction accordingly.","fullyFundedDate":1755699169059,"projectUrl":"project/blank-spaces-bright-ideas/9567608/","projectTitle":"Blank Spaces, Bright Ideas","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Romano","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5186019_orig.jpg?crop=968,968,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1602433626449","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5186019"},{"teacherId":2669542,"projectId":4564097,"letterContent":"These supplies have upgraded my center and intervention time.
