It's more than just a rug; it's a place where community and curiosity flourish every single day.\r\n\r\nYour kindness not only added comfort to our room but also showed our students that there are people who believe in their learning journey. However, throughout the school year—and due to limited time and evolving classroom needs—the project naturally took a different path than originally planned.\r\n\r\nStill, I'm very happy to share that all the materials we received through your generous donations were fully and meaningfully used. Our students created a variety of projects, recorded videos, used the green screen and lighting, played with the Playmobil toys while talking in Spanish, and—most importantly—used their imagination and their voices.\r\n\r\nAnd that's exactly where the heart of the project lies. Even though the format shifted, the true goal of the project was fully achieved.\r\n\r\nThanks to the materials we received, our students had the opportunity to:\r\n\t•\tActively and creatively explore the Spanish language\r\n\t•\tTell their own stories, both orally and in writing\r\n\t•\tCollaborate with classmates, exchanging and building ideas\r\n\t•\tUse technology that would otherwise be out of reach (green screen, lights, basic video tools)\r\n\t•\tGrow in confidence and fluency when expressing themselves in Spanish\r\n\r\nI'm incredibly grateful to everyone who supported and believed in this idea.","fullyFundedDate":1733239106474,"projectUrl":"project/spark-creativity-spanish-stop-motion-st/8933658/","projectTitle":"Spark Creativity: Spanish Stop-Motion Storytelling with Playmobil","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Vicente Enrique Arroyas Roig","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9831902_orig.jpg?crop=1944,1945,x0,y162&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731208797429","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9831902"},{"teacherId":9699549,"projectId":8691957,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation, which allowed us to purchase ukuleles for our 4th and 5th grade students. Thanks to your support, we were able to bring music into our classroom in a tangible and exciting way—placing instruments directly into the hands of eager young learners.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment the ukuleles arrived, our students were filled with enthusiasm and curiosity. Throughout the semester, they embraced the challenge of learning to play, and their progress has been truly inspiring. They learned chords, strumming patterns, and even developed an understanding of rhythm and musical structure. Many students, who had never picked up an instrument before, found a new outlet for creativity and confidence. Some even now have their own ukulele!!\r\n\r\nA major highlight of our spring program was watching the students showcase their skills. Their joy was evident in every strum, and the pride they felt in sharing their hard work with classmates, families, and the school community was immeasurable. These moments of accomplishment would not have been possible without your kindness and belief in the power of music education.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a lasting impact—not only enriching our curriculum but also fostering a lifelong appreciation for music. On behalf of our students, their families, and our entire school, thank you for helping us make this musical dream a reality.","fullyFundedDate":1733278001236,"projectUrl":"project/ukulele-great-for-the-heart-and-mind/8691957/","projectTitle":"Ukulele! We are exploring different topics, and practicing the use of Spanish in class. The new texts also help explore themes like friendship, perseverance, and understanding in a fun way, which we discuss in class.\r\n\r\nIn my classroom, reading is interactive. Students choose books that interest them and read independently on Fridays. We have regular book Read alouds where they participate in a reading activity with the class. This has created a space where students feel excited to talk about books and improve their comprehension.\r\n\r\nSome students, especially those who were reluctant readers, are now really enjoying the new books. We are also sharing our new knowledge by reading to other classes and practicing the target language. Students can now look up unfamiliar words on their own, which boosts their confidence and understanding. This helps them become more independent and better at understanding what they read.\r\n\r\nReading is now more interactive. Students use the dictionaries during independent reading and in group discussions, making it easier to understand difficult words and connect with the text. Also, with the barcode scanner, we keep our classroom library organized and have our Read alouds to foster more reading time.\r\n\r\nSome advanced readers are thriving, using the dictionaries to read more challenging texts.
