The materials and supplies I am requesting are all designed to help my students connect with math on a tangible level. The Write and Wipe number lines and student boards let students actually draw out number facts and counting which develops basic number sense. Student clocks, Ten-Frames and Geoboards let students visualize math concepts and explore them in an easy to read, tangible way. Some items such as the Magnetic Ten-Frame and Double Dice as well as the Self-Inking Stamps are to make math more fun and interesting during small group instruction. By donating to our project, you can give my students the necessary tools and resources they need to explore and share their mathematical learning in class. For too many of my students, math is boring, abstract and difficult for them to understand. However, math will be essential throughout their lives! I want to help my students to be excited about math and confident in their learning. Having the tools they need is so important in creating a solid foundation and understanding of math.
