The new snacks, mindfulness games, and sensory tools have quickly become part of our daily routine. Students love being able to grab a snack to refuel during work time, and it's made a noticeable difference in their ability to stay focused and participate.\r\n\r\nThe mindfulness and social skills card games have been a huge hit during our group lessons. One of my favorite moments was watching a small group of students practice deep breathing and positive self-talk while playing a coping skills card game—they were laughing, supporting one another, and really connecting. The fidgets have also been a wonderful addition for students who struggle with anxiety; they're being used quietly during class to help students stay calm and engaged.\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes first arrived, my students' faces lit up. They were amazed that people they've never met cared enough to help make their classroom a better place. It was a powerful lesson in kindness and community.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using these resources to strengthen students' emotional awareness and coping skills. We're integrating the mindfulness cards into weekly reflection sessions and using the games as conversation starters for social-emotional learning lessons. Your support has truly made a lasting difference—thank you for helping us create a classroom where students feel supported, capable, and cared for.","fullyFundedDate":1759007254259,"projectUrl":"project/skills-and-stress-relief-helping-stude/9753256/","projectTitle":"Skills, and Stress Relief: Helping Students Learn and Thrive","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Avelar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7862455_orig.jpg?crop=2115,2115,x779,y1942&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1681398476156","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7862455"},{"teacherId":7862455,"projectId":9550420,"letterContent":"I want to sincerely thank you for funding our classroom project. The sensory tools, like the calm-down threading boards, have created a safe space for students to regulate their emotions, refocus, and return to learning with confidence. Together, these resources have helped my classroom become a place where students feel supported and understood.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the creative supplies and organizational tools you provided have allowed my students to express themselves, stay focused, and learn in a calm and welcoming environment.
