I have been extremely blessed by this donation, and I want you to know just how much of an impact these materials have already made on my students.\r\nAs a special education teacher, building connections and relationships with my students is one of the most important parts of what I do. The materials you donated have given me new and meaningful ways to connect with my students, engage them in learning, and discover things about them that I may not have otherwise known.\r\nOne of the most amazing things I have discovered through these materials is just how much vocabulary some of my students have. I have students who communicate in very different ways, and these hands-on materials have given them opportunities to show me what they know. Students are requesting items, leading me toward things they want, making choices, and finding ways to communicate their wants and interests. Without these materials, I may never have realized the extent of some of my students' vocabulary and understanding.\r\nI especially love watching their excitement when we open our sensory books. Their little fingers travel across the pages as they explore the different textures, and their faces light up as they discover something new. These moments may seem small, but they are incredibly meaningful in our classroom. They create opportunities for communication, sensory exploration, attention, and relationship building all at the same time.\r\nYour donation has also allowed me to incorporate fine-motor skills into so many different parts of our school day. For example, students can practice counting and one-to-one correspondence while feeding animals five pieces of food. We can work on grasping, pinching, placing, sorting, and manipulating objects while still working toward our academic goals. My students this year need fine-motor opportunities incorporated throughout their day, and having a variety of hands-on tools has allowed me to provide those opportunities in ways that are engaging and meaningful to each student.\r\nWhat means the most to me is seeing my students genuinely excited to learn. I have watched students request materials, bring me toward items they would like to use, and eagerly participate when they recognize a favorite activity. Those moments remind me why providing students with different ways to learn is so important.\r\nOur students' parents have also been incredibly grateful for the generosity shown to our classroom. One family, in particular, asked me to express their gratitude because they are so thankful that their son has been able to learn in such a well-supported and enriched classroom this year. Knowing that your generosity is making an impact not only on my students, but also on their families, means more than I can say.\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for investing in their learning, communication, independence, and growth. Your generosity has given me additional tools to meet my students where they are, celebrate what they can do, and help them discover what they are capable of.\r\nThank you for helping me create a classroom where my students can explore, communicate, learn, and—most importantly—feel successful.
