This tablet has allowed me to teach with greater mobility, flexibility, and quality. I am able to move around the room more freely, support students individually, and use interactive tools that bring language and culture to life. With this device, I can model activities, monitor student work closely, and provide immediate feedback that helps them grow as learners.\r\n\r\nHow the technology is helping students learn\r\n\r\nThe tablet has become an essential tool for: projecting interactive lessons and visuals that enhance comprehension, accessing authentic Spanish videos, music, and cultural resources instantly, using assessment apps that give students real-time results, recording speaking activities for students to listen back and self-correct, and creating small-group activities that encourage collaboration and confidence.\r\n\r\nThese opportunities make learning more engaging, more personalized, and more meaningful for every student.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students the most\r\n\r\nStudents get excited when they see the tablet come out—they know something interactive is about to happen. They especially enjoy: participating in live quizzes, listening to audio recordings from Spanish-speaking countries, watching cultural clips that transport them to other parts of the world, and seeing their work projected instantly for feedback and celebration.\r\n\r\nTheir motivation has increased, and they feel more connected to the language and cultures they are studying.\r\n\r\nStudents who have especially benefited\r\n\r\nA few students have shown remarkable growth thanks to this technology. One student who struggles with reading has benefited from audio support and visual prompts that I can quickly access through the tablet. Another shy student has gained confidence by listening to her own recorded speaking activities and improving her pronunciation. The tablet has given them tools that meet their needs and help them participate more fully.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has strengthened our classroom in ways that go far beyond a device. You have helped create an environment where students feel supported, inspired, and connected to the world.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and for helping us build brighter futures—one tablet at a time.","fullyFundedDate":1760039301765,"projectUrl":"project/connecting-cultures-and-futures-one-tab/9568466/","projectTitle":"Connecting Cultures and Futures: One Tablet at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Capuchino","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10165850"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_122604","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":69,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":64,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":81.6,"schoolId":122604,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about School of Science & Tech-CC Middle & High on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"School of Science & Tech-CC Middle & High","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/texas-department-of-education/school-of-science-tech-cc-middle-high/122604"}
