I used the boards for multiplication and division as a morning exercise to change up the regular routine. Students were able to pair up in partners and discuss the answers on their boards. \r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the boards, they all wanted to utilize them. They hopped in their chairs to get the boards and quickly began to organize partners to share the board. All students were very excited to be able to have a board with opportunities to have enough room to build ladders afforded on the back of the boards. Using ladders is a skill that we use in class such as skip counting.\r\n\r\nThough skip counting, students are able to memorize the facts and apply them as necessary in a fun way. I have had more master level students for STAAR than ever before.
