Students have loved the fidget spinners, fidget rings, and putty. I see them using these items during testing and our longer periods (2 days a week). I have had non-special education students ask for these items as well :) \r\n\r\nThe calming corner with the bean bag chair, coloring books, weighted neck wraps, and headphones are used daily. I serve many students with anxiety, autism, or migraines that come during lunch to avoid the noise and crowds. This is my chance to check in with them, offer a snack, and to make sure they feel connected. We offer my room during large assemblies as well. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, we pull students for small group to reteach concepts daily and I have the sensory discs on the hard plastic chairs and the yoga ball chairs at the tables.
