The most immediate physical change has been my ability to reach more students during our critical intervention blocks. Previously, due to space constraints and bulky seating, I was limited to working with only three students at a time. Thanks to the stackable stools, my small groups seating capacity has expanded to five students per session. This means more children are getting the intensive, teacher-led support they need every single day. Furthermore, since many of my students do not have their own supplies at home, providing individual pencil boxes filled with pencil6, highlighters and dry erase markers ensures every child arrives at my table feeling prepared, equal, and ready to work.\r\nThe specialized literacy tools have specifically transformed how my struggling readers engage with text and translate those ideas into writing. The whisper phones have become an essential favorite; students use them during independent reading and assignments to hear their own voices clearly. This immediate auditory feedback has led to noticeable improvements in their fluency, comprehension, and pronunciation, all while maintaining a quiet, focused classroom environment. For my students with dyslexia, the Guided Reading Highlight Strips have been a total gamechanger. These strips provide the visual scaffolding they need to stay on track and avoid losing their place, turning a task that used to be overwhelming into one where they feel confident and in control.\r\nUltimately, this project has removed the physical and emotional barriers to learning in my classroom. With our new organizers and storage drawers, the \"chaos\" of managing supplies has disappeared, leaving more room for meaningful instruction. My students no longer have to worry about being unprepared or losing focus. Instead, they can use their new tools to dive deep into stories and express their thoughts clearly on paper. Your generosity has provided the structure and tools necessary for my students to thrive and see themselves as capable, confident learners in both reading and writing.","fullyFundedDate":1764699387870,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-readers-in-reading-intervention/9651055/","projectTitle":"Engaging Readers in Reading Intervention","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ramirez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9177294_orig.jpg?crop=633,633,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1691725239204","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9177294"},{"teacherId":6501902,"projectId":9277185,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, my students have the supplies they needed to be successful in my classroom.\r\n\r\nThis year was a true test of their abilities. They felt seen and celebrated, realizing that people they haven't even met are rooting for their success.\r\n\r\nWe are already putting these resources to great use. We have integrated them into our daily positive behavior system, and I've noticed a significant shift in student engagement. It has turned our classroom into a more vibrant, encouraging environment where every small victory is celebrated.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we plan to use these materials to launch a peer-recognition program where students can nominate one another for showing kindness and perseverance. The stylus pens have also made it much easier for students to interact with their laptops, especially during digital assignments where they need to write, draw, or annotate. The supply bins have helped keep everything organized and accessible, which means we're spending less time passing out materials and more time focused on learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were genuinely excited.
