My students have been able to come to me during class, lunch or tutoring and get a few snacks to sustain them as they work or go about their day. I have a student whose home life is unstable and I am able to help her by providing these snacks and other items from my \"pantry\". There are teachers who know I have these items and they bring students to me to pick from the shelves of bars, fruit, Gold fish, etc.\r\n\r\nWhen my students saw all the snacks delivered, they were so excited. They know that they can come to me and not have to worry about being embarrassed or turned away.
