Your support has truly made a difference in our classroom, and I am incredibly grateful for your kindness. The puzzles, stampers, and magnetic counting rods you helped provide have quickly become essential tools in our learning journey.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were thrilled! They couldn't wait to dive in. One of my students even hugged a puzzle box and said, \"Is this really for us?\" Their excitement has carried through as we've been using the items daily. The stampers have been especially popular, helping the students practice fine motor skills while also improving their letter formation. The magnetic counting rods have opened up new learning opportunities, with students building number sequences and patterns in such a fun and interactive way.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite recent projects involved creating a class \"number wall\" where each student used the rods to represent their age and decorated it with stampers. It sparked wonderful conversations about numbers and patterns and gave students the chance to connect math and creativity in a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're starting a new unit focused on the alphabet, and the puzzles will be key in helping students match uppercase and lowercase letters and build simple words. I can already see their confidence growing with every new skill they master.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping us create a classroom filled with joy, curiosity, and learning. Your generosity is making a lasting impact on these young learners, and I'm excited for all the progress yet to come.","fullyFundedDate":1738259056159,"projectUrl":"project/building-strong-foundations-essential-l/9028289/","projectTitle":"Building Strong Foundations: Essential Learning Tools for Pre-K Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ozcan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8847146_orig.jpg?crop=2048,2048,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1674417705273","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8847146"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_8181","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":476,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":73,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 1","studentTeacherRatio":"15.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.9,"schoolId":8181,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Royal Early Childhood Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Royal Early Childhood Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/royal-independent-school-district/royal-early-childhood-ctr/8181"}
