The butterfly gardens will allow the students to experience the life cycle first hand. They will see the larvae eating their food, grow into caterpillars, crawl to the top, grow a chrysalis and emerge as beautiful butterflies. When they can touch it, the concepts stick so much better. We will be using the art supplies to journal our observations by drawing and coloring art pieces to materialize our observations. We want hands on lessons, including art using various mediums, and ALWAYS reading. The supplies are for 6 classes, 3 bilingual and 3 monolingual. The books will help enhance our classroom libraries. We ordered Spanish titles where available.
