Instead of seeing reading as simply another school assignment, students are beginning to see books as something they can truly enjoy.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding parts of receiving these books has been watching students become excited about choosing what they want to read. Students are able to select books based on their interests and reading levels, giving them a sense of independence and ownership over their learning. Some students immediately begin reading, while others carefully examine the covers and summaries before making their choice. Seeing them excited to find a book they connect with is a wonderful reminder of the impact your generosity can have.\r\n\r\nThese chapter books are also helping students strengthen important literacy skills. As they read, they are practicing vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and the ability to identify important details and make connections. More importantly, they are developing the habit of reading regularly.
