The technology and classroom resources allow me to make lessons more engaging, provide students with visual support, and give them easier access to the materials they need.\r\n\r\nMy students are especially excited when they can use the new technology during lessons and activities. It helps make learning feel more interactive instead of simply reading from a textbook or worksheet. Students who are learning English have also benefited because visual resources and technology make it easier for them to understand new information and participate in class.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these resources help create a classroom where students feel supported and included. The materials donated through this project have helped us turn a basic portable classroom into a more organized, welcoming, and functional library for our students.\r\n\r\nThe bookmarks have been especially useful in encouraging students to continue reading at school and at home. Our students enjoy choosing a bookmark to use with their books, and it gives them a simple reminder to keep their place and keep reading. The cabinet and paper organizer have helped us keep materials organized and accessible, allowing students to find what they need more independently.\r\n\r\nThe Command Strips and small picture nails have allowed us to add displays, student work, reading recommendations, and decorations that make the space feel more like a real library and less like a temporary classroom. These displays help create a sense of ownership and belonging for our students.\r\n\r\nBecause our portable classrooms do not have sinks, the hand wipes have also been an important everyday resource. They help us keep shared spaces and materials clean and provide students with a quick way to clean their hands throughout the day.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these resources have helped us create a space where students feel welcome and excited to read, explore, and learn. What started as an empty portable classroom is becoming a library that feels like their spaceāa place where they can discover books, share ideas, work together, and build a lifelong love of reading.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful to everyone who helped make this fresh start possible!","fullyFundedDate":1786568169221,"projectUrl":"project/from-empty-space-to-a-place-to-belong/10452397/","projectTitle":"From Empty Space to a Place to Belong!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gonzalez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10578474"},{"teacherId":10083703,"projectId":10537957,"letterContent":"The wall and floor padding in my classroom has become a symbol of care for my students this year. For those who struggle with emotional overwhelm, the soft surfaces offer a gentle safety net when words fail and big feelings take over. I've seen students walk away without injury from intense escalations, knowing their environment won't hurt them even when they're at their most vulnerable. This has genuinely made my room a safer place.\r\n\r\nWhat I love most is how the padding has shifted the energy in the room. Instead of hard edges and echoing sounds that can feel sharp and overwhelming, the space now feels secure and non-threatening. Students who may lash out in frustration no longer fear the consequences of simply having big emotions. Watching them take that first cautious step toward regulation- knowing they won't be harmed if they struggle- has brought a sense of calm to my students and staff.","fullyFundedDate":1787972240841,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-make-our-calming-corner-secure/10537957/","projectTitle":"Help Us Make Our Calming Corner Secure!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hindman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10083703_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753247481503","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10083703"},{"teacherId":6604077,"projectId":10440123,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations!
