They explored both 2D and 3D shapes by building, sorting, and talking about what they noticed. Being able to touch and move the shapes helped students better understand the differences between flat shapes and solid figures, and they were excited to share their thinking with classmates.\r\nNow we're moving into fractions, and these same materials will help students understand equal parts.
