My students were extremely excited and could not believe that someone would donate to their classroom without even knowing them. In so many ways this was a humbling moment for them. It boosted their confidence and made them feel like the luckiest kids.\r\nWith your help I was able to provide my students with a class store to go with our financial literacy lesson. My students enjoy earning class cash and using their money to shop in the store. They think it's the coolest thing. I love seeing them making responsible decisions when it comes to spending their money. They earn money from having a class job but in return have to pay rent. They have really graspsed the concept of what it means to be financially responsible.\r\nThe next steps for this lesson is adding a banker that requires students to fill out a sample application. For 2nd semester I will introduce inflation by increasing rent and taxes that students must pay. Some have already made connections to real world by asking if prices will ever be raised. They are enjoying this lesson all while learning valuable information. Thank you again for making this possible.
