Because of you, my students now have engaging, age-appropriate dictionaries that will help them explore new words, build their vocabulary, and become more confident readers and writers.\r\n\r\nSince it's still very early in the school year, we haven't had the chance to use them in many lessons yet, but I recently introduced the dictionaries to my students and gave them time to explore. They eagerly flipped through the pages, searched for interesting words, and loved discovering the colorful pictures and kid-friendly features. It was wonderful to see how excited they were! With our old dictionaries, students often became frustrated or lost interest quickly. These new dictionaries immediately captured their attention, and several students even told me they couldn't wait to use them during reading class. I've never had students so excited to learn how to look up words!\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, these dictionaries will become an important part of our daily learning. Students will use them to practice alphabetizing and locating guide words, identify syllabication and parts of speech, learn word meanings, and expand their academic vocabulary. These skills will strengthen their reading comprehension and writing while helping them become more independent learners.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided my students with a resource they will use all year long, and I know it will have a lasting impact on their learning.
