Just...Wow! I had to stop what I was working on in order to release all of the excitement I had after seeing the email that said my project was going to be funded. We work in a variety materials and techniques, in order for the students to, not only learn about the process and materials...but the sheer access to the opportunity to be exposed to them at all. Most of our students are at risk and have an economic disadvantage. We are a Title I campus, and I have been teaching here my whole career. Without the opportunity to use and learn about different materials and methods, they are unable to compete with other students in their high school and hopefully college classes. I want them to see and understand what is possible outside of the four walls of their home. They are bright, funny, creative, and will be wonderful additions to the adult world. I make sure they stay kind, creative, and optimistic in their future. I can't wait to show you how much we value your donation. We will continue to get better because of you!
