"Posted" by John David Anderson will enrich my Comm. Apps class by giving them relatable connection that young adult readers may face in middle school. The novel deals with teenage issues such as: moving to a new school, being the "new" kid, fitting in with peers, bullying, friendships made and lost, dating relationships, and the importance of the words we use towards others. This funny, yet poignant novel will help bridge the connections needed for being successful with the following skills. The students will benefit from learning: *How to have academic conversations *Leadership styles *Group roles *Conflict management and resolution *Strategies for communicating with diverse groups of people
