We are incredibly excited to use our new supplies in our lessons daily in all subjects. By having our own dry erase sleeves with templatesl such as strip diagrams, place value charts, and grid paper it has been a total game-changer. We no longer have to spend time drawing these charts ourselves, which saves us so much time and keeps our work neat and organized. Additionally, the fine-tip markers are a huge help! Unlike regular markers, these allow us to record information in small spaces easily. These tools have been essential for fostering student participation and allowing our teacher to differentiate instruction for each of us. These materials have completely transformed our science lessons. We've already made so many self-discoveries including building working electrical paths with the Snap Circuits to engineering complex paths with the Magnetic Marble Run, we are learning how to think like real engineers. One student made the comment \"The loop has to touch and be connected to form a complete circuit in order for it to actually work\" proving that hands on manipulation is the best way for students to retain what they are learning about. The Planetarium model has also been a huge hit, helping us visualize the relationship between the sun, earth, and moon in a way a textbook never could.Thank you for giving us the materials to conduct these experiments and for keeping our learning fun, engaging, and hands-on!","fullyFundedDate":1765508036096,"projectUrl":"project/little-scientist-big-discoveries/9885125/","projectTitle":"Little Scientist, Big Discoveries","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Luviano","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5465160_orig.jpg?crop=283,283,x14,y172&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749754700756","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5465160"},{"teacherId":5465160,"projectId":9885091,"letterContent":"Katie Albanese, our generous donor from Texas, and last but not least , Maxwell Hanrahan Foundation, \r\nOn behalf of Mrs. Luviano's 4th-grade class, we want to say thank you so very much for your incredible donation!\r\nBecause of your kindness, we have had so much fun using our new Makey-Makey kits. They have turned our classroom into a hands-on engineering lab. We loved testing the conductivity of different materials—it was amazing to discover that bananas, grapes, play-doh, and even water could act as conductors! We also learned how to identify insulators like plastic spoons, rubber bands, and bottle caps.\r\nThe excitement isn't over yet! In the coming weeks, we will be using the kits to create interactive audio recordings about the parts of plants and their functions.
