I am requesting an Osmo game system for my students to use. Osmo is an award-winning game system that will allow my students to interact beyond the Ipad screen to collaborate on tables or floors with their peers while manipulating tangible game pieces such as number tiles, letter tiles, and coding blocks. Osmo activities provide hands-on engaging educational activities that teach students coding, math, language arts, creative thinking, and spatial skills. Osmo also provides various challenge levels for students of differing abilities and allows the teacher to manage student profiles, and track student progress. Furthermore, Osmo has a spelling/reading component that is available in Spanish to help with their reading fluency, decoding, and phonics in their native language.
