My students come from low income households that are not able to afford snacks. This is an kindergarten classroom and we eat lunch at 9:50am so by 12:00pm, my students are already experiencing hunger. It is very hard to concentrate on learning when your stomach is growling. These snacks will be able to provide my students with comfort during the day so that they are able to be at their best throughout the day.\r\nThis age is critical and it is the foundation of learning throughout the rest of their school careers.
