We were able to use them to complete our spring service project. We came together and made handmade cards, stuffed the holiday bags with various goodies and made sure the gift reflected something we would have wanted. We were able to make enough gifts to give to kids in the local hospital near our school. \r\nThe Student Council Organization is who this project was written for. The kids voted and hey wanted to give back to the community. We thought the bet way would be to give to other kids that would most likely be in the hospital for Christmas. The STUCO kids were so excited to get the goodies and make the bags as their service project. \r\nWe already completed the next steps of our project which was meeting up at our local hospital and presenting our gifts to the children childcare liaison who then special delivered them to the children. Again thanks for giving my Student Council kids the items they needed to help and give back to other children around their same age.","fullyFundedDate":1764800159073,"projectUrl":"project/holiday-care-packages-for-local-kids-in/9901210/","projectTitle":"Holiday Care Packages for Local Kids in the Hospital","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Coleman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5486538_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1538340950653","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/takeya-coleman"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_124374","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":837,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":25,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":58,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":0,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":124374,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Culver Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Culver Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/lamar-consolidated-independent-school-district/culver-elementary-school/124374"}
