Because of your donation of headphones and headphone splitters, our students now have access to a learning experience that is more personalized, engaging, and collaborative than ever before.\r\nMany of you may use technology at home for entertainment or communication, but in our classroom, it has become a powerful learning tool. With the headphones, students are able to fully focus on educational videos, digital texts, and interactive activities without distractions. This is especially important in a busy classroom, where different groups may be working on different assignments at the same time. Students can listen to lessons at their own pace—pausing, rewinding, or replaying content as needed—which allows them to better understand complex concepts and build confidence in their learning.\r\nThe headphone splitters have been an exciting addition because they encourage collaboration. Students can now partner up to listen to the same audio, watch videos together, and discuss what they are learning in real time. This has strengthened not only their academic skills but also their ability to work as a team, share ideas, and learn from one another.\r\nWhat's been most exciting to the students is the sense of independence and responsibility that comes with using these tools. They feel like real researchers and creators when they engage with digital content in such a focused way. Whether they're listening to a science explanation, following along with a social studies video, or practicing reading fluency, they are more motivated and eager to participate.\r\nThere are several students who have especially benefited from this technology. Some of our learners who need extra support—such as English language learners or students who benefit from repeated instruction—have truly blossomed. The ability to control the pace of their learning and listen closely without background noise has helped them gain confidence and improve their comprehension. Additionally, students who may have struggled to stay focused during whole-group lessons are now more engaged and excited to complete their work.\r\nBecause of your generosity, our classroom has become a more inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic learning environment. You have made a meaningful difference in the daily experiences of our students, and we are incredibly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1769177478872,"projectUrl":"project/i-hear-you-loud-and-clear/9952643/","projectTitle":"I Hear You Loud and Clear!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mitchell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9113455_orig.jpg?crop=420,420,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1691612037252","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9113455"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_16048","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":428,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":86,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":0,"gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":68.3,"schoolId":16048,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bowie Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bowie Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/lamar-consolidated-independent-school-district/bowie-elementary-school/16048"}
