After introducing them to classes, organizing on the blue cart and creating the excitement of sorting them in genres they want to read.... The BOOKS are being checked out and being read already! Your donations and childhood memories are creating their own memories in the PFE library and goals for the readers of Pine Forest Elementary. All of these items are consumable items that are being used daily by us teachers and students. Our students are keeping our classroom clean and organized. Students know where items are found and are returning items when they are no longer needed. They are very independence and confident now. They have learned to be safe while using these resources and they are practicing their organizational skills. They have been able to practice retelling stories using the story cards visuals and manipulatives to help them sequence their story retelling accurately. They are taking risks using familiar and new language to act out conflicts and relationships the familiar characters encountered. Some of my students have come to me speaking very little English.
