Because of you, my students were able to spend the last month reading and deeply engaging with The Handmaid's Tale, and the impact has been profound.\r\n\r\nThis novel sparked some of the most thoughtful and passionate discussions I have seen in my classroom. Students eagerly debated themes of power, identity, freedom, and resistance, drawing insightful parallels between the world of the novel and aspects of our current society. They challenged one another respectfully, supported their ideas with evidence, and learned how to navigate complex and sometimes uncomfortable conversations with maturity.\r\n\r\nWhat stood out most was how personally many of my students connected to the text. In particular, my young women felt a powerful connection to the story. They reflected on voice, autonomy, and the importance of being heard, often sharing personal insights that elevated our class discussions in meaningful ways. Watching them recognize the relevance of literature to their own lives was a powerful reminder of why stories matter.\r\n\r\nYour donation did more than put books in students' hands. It created space for critical thinking, empathy, and courageous conversation. Thank you for investing in my students and in the transformative power of literature.
