Wrestling is a year round sport. Because of Hurricane Harvey, we started school late and we are unable to raise the funds through private fundraising. I started the wrestling team because this sport is inclusive of all students and I allow anyone to join if the they choose. Even though the season has started and we practice daily, we are not allowed to participate because we don't have the necessary protection equipment necessary to compete in matches. The hurricane has taxed the time and resources of the athletics department and wrestling is the last sport that will receive equipment.
