The new resources have allowed us to launch a goal‑setting system during small‑group instruction, where each student receives a personalized stamp chart tailored to their individual learning needs. Every time a student shows strong effort or meaningful progress toward their goal, they earn a stamp. Once their chart is complete, they get to choose a prize from our classroom prize buckets—a moment they look forward to with so much joy.\r\nOne of my favorite moments so far was watching students see the materials for the first time. Their eyes lit up, and even students who have struggled with motivation in the past immediately leaned in, eager to show what they could do. It was as if the new tools gave them permission to believe in themselves a little more. Since then, they've taken great pride in their work, often asking, \"Can I show you what I did?\" before I even get the chance to check in.\r\nWe've also added a homework incentive: students who complete their homework pages by Friday earn 15 minutes of in‑class free time. This has become a powerful way to recognize their hard work both inside and outside the classroom, and they love celebrating these accomplishments together.\r\nRight now, students are continuing to work toward their individualized goals, and the engagement has been incredible. They're eager, focused, and genuinely excited to grow. Our next steps include helping them set slightly more challenging goals as they build confidence and independence.\r\nThank you so much for your generosity. You haven't just provided materials—you've sparked motivation, boosted confidence, and made a meaningful impact on student engagement in our classroom. We are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1767213608927,"projectUrl":"project/class-rewards-and-incentives/9687813/","projectTitle":"Class Rewards and Incentives","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wells","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10243721"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_16022","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":278,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":10,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":80,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":77.9,"schoolId":16022,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Freeman Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Freeman Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/garland-independent-school-district/freeman-elementary-school/16022"}
