I used this book to read along with my units on the Electromagnetic Spectrum and the Universe in my 7th grade science classroom. I specifically picked this book because it does such a good job of explaining why and how the EM spectrum is used to study the universe. It's also written by a relatively younger women astronomer so it gave my students another mental image of someone who studies the stars and looks like them!\r\n\r\nReading is so critical and such an amazing way for us all to learn. I let them find a cozy spot in our classroom to read and had a lot of discussions about the benefits and joys of reading a good book.
