It has allowed my prek-4 students to create amazing works of art with the modeling clay that was brought for us. They had the chance to share their creation with their peers and teachers. ( dragons, vase, butterfly, heart, donut and so many more things they created.)We also got a chance to add a new reading game to our block interest area. They loved building with the crayon word builder. They were able to build and read the three letters words. \r\n These are just a few examples of how your donation to our class have helped give our students a chance to use their creative style to explore different types of mediums of art to express themselves. Regardless of their age, all students consistently express a sense of belonging upon entering the classroom.\r\n\r\nWhenever new items are introduced to our classroom, students inquire about their origin. I have informed them that these items are generously donated by various individuals and companies. This understanding fosters a sense of importance among the students and reinforces the idea that people are invested in the quality of their educational environment.\r\n\r\nRecently, due to illness, I was absent from the classroom for several days. Upon my return, it was gratifying to observe the care and respect students demonstrated for our classroom environment.\r\n\r\nStudents are actively learning to utilize the diverse areas of our classroom. They have consistently demonstrated their readiness to learn, regardless of their physical location within the classroom. Consequently, in anticipation of funding for our next project, I propose transforming the calming corner into a reading nook designed to facilitate tranquil learning.","fullyFundedDate":1758202932118,"projectUrl":"project/lighting-the-path-to-learning/9440344/","projectTitle":"Lighting the Path to Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kimmie Kimble","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9419890_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1734510283865","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9419890"},{"teacherId":9419890,"projectId":9428241,"letterContent":"Many of my students are working on regulating their emotions, by remain in the classroom setting. Having a safe space to remove themselves from over stimulation , yet still hear and see tier 1 instruction has greatly benefited all students. \r\nSome of my students require opposite needs such as a well light environment, while others need a quite calm dimly lite space. Our lamps provide students with diferenciated needs. \r\nI service three different grade levels who all love our classroom. They are very detailed oriented therefore they notice each time we receive new donations to our classroom. They take ownership by making sure to take care of each item in our classroom. \r\n\r\nStudents love the transformation from how our classroom started to now. My goal now is to add a little more serenity to the calming area by removing the single desk and replacing it with a small shelf. Also, our next project students asked for comfortable chairs to sit, although the do enjoy sitting on the area rug in the calming space. I did some research and plants help the setting become more peaceful. Thanks to our project being funded, we received mini artificial plants. I also plan to bring real plants as well. Overall, \r\nwe are grateful for all of your help making our classroom mentally fit for learning.","fullyFundedDate":1750774643265,"projectUrl":"project/mentally-fitting-learning-environment/9428241/","projectTitle":"Mentally Fitting Learning Environment","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kimmie Kimble","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9419890_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1734510283865","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9419890"},{"teacherId":8575230,"projectId":9059908,"letterContent":"We sincerely appreciate your generous donation of snacks for our tutoring program.
