We currently sit on a combination of two old rugs. One was given to us by the district over ten years ago. The other came from my now teenage son's baby room. Both rugs are old stained and have seen over a decade of wear and tear. We have cold, old tile floors, a rug provides a soft, safe learning space.Our custodian can't vacuum the rug from my house because it's too flimsy and gets stuck in the vacuum. A new rug would be used everyday, seriously every single day. My students do not have decorative rugs at their apartments.
