Having a comfortable, defined space has helped students stay focused, feel calm, and participate more confidently when sharing their thinking with the class.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new carpet, they were so excited! Their faces lit up, and several students immediately asked if they could sit on it. Some of them even said how soft and cozy it felt. The carpet instantly made our classroom feel more welcoming and safe, and students were eager to use it as our new meeting spot.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using the carpet as our learning hub for reading discussions, math talks, and social-emotional lessons. Students will practice listening to one another, taking turns speaking, and building confidence when sharing ideas. Since the arrival of our new set of bilingual books, my students' eyes have lit up every time they head to our reading corner. They now have fresh, engaging stories to explore, which has already increased their independent reading stamina.\r\n\r\nOn the technology side, our biggest hurdle was keeping our devices ready for daily lessons. Before this project, we struggled with dead batteries and tangled cords. Thanks to the new charging station, that challenge is officially a problem of the past.
