As they count items, calculate quantities, and organize supplies, they will apply their mathematical skills to a real-world community need. More importantly, they will develop empathy, leadership, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of food insecurity. The snacks and cereal will provide practical support to students who may otherwise struggle with hunger during the school day.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, I hope this experience inspires my students to continue finding ways to serve others and recognize the needs within their community.
