A library specialized in Spanish books will be a great asset to the students of my school. I want to provide them experiences through reading and in an easier way immerse them in the target language. This is the perfect way to invite them to experience other cultures, visit new places, and meet great people. Over 80% of these children are Hispanic, yet they do not present the necessaries reading and writing skills for their age. I will be using different educational strategies such as: group reading, interpreted reading, art inclusion, creative writing, independent reading, etc., to motivate them to participate. It is my dream to achieve a "cafe" corner in the classroom where they can go, relax and read an interesting book, how I did when I was young.
