These texts have opened the door for us to explore so many reading skills—everything from making inferences and analyzing characters' motivations to identifying themes and connecting stories to our own lives. The variety of genres has also allowed us to practice comparing texts, noticing how authors use different styles and perspectives to tell powerful stories.\r\nSome of the biggest smiles come from students who hadn't thought of themselves as \"readers\" before. One student who was reluctant to read at the beginning of the year has fallen in love with a new series and now asks if they can read \"just one more chapter.\" Another student proudly shared that they took their book home to read with a younger sibling, wanting to share the story with their family. These moments show us that the books are not only building academic skills but also creating lifelong readers.\r\nThank you for making this possible.
